Building a workforce for your Future - Apprenticeships for the paralegal workforce – a briefing.
As the legal profession faces the most significant changes to affect the industry in memory, Skills for Justice is working in partnership with a series of law firms to help them transform the way they attract, recruit and train people for their future workforce.
Skills for Justice are building a formal paralegal apprenticeship framework. Once created, this framework can be used to create pathways into the profession for those working in paralegal roles across all areas of legal services and it will have the potential to attract Government funding to cover the necessary training, especially for young people.

Ellowes Hall Career Academy
More than 3,000 employee volunteers from over 900 organisations around the UK contribute time and skills to the Career Academy programme. Some volunteers have a long career history; others have just graduated from university. All enjoy the company of young people and genuinely want to support and guide them by sharing their knowledge and experience. Oliver Harris, Head of Business & Enterprise, Ellowes Hall Sports College said “Our Career Academy is a two year programme of study for 16 – 19 year olds. A key element of the course is being paired with a Partner in Business – a mentor that can act as a role model and advisor. We are always looking to establish relationships with businesses and are extremely grateful that the Alliance has established a partnership with us.”
There are a variety of ways you can help, please email Gemma Hall or call 0845 8724 297 for more information. |
